Jay wins triennial E.C. Smith Scholarship!

Congratulations to Jay Mayatra from our group who has been awarded the E.C. Smith Scholarship in Pathology by Trinity College Dublin's School of Medicine. This prestigious award is given out to outstanding scholars once every three years, and Jay's selection reflects his talent and progress to date as well as his huge future potential.

E.C. Smith was a former assistant to the Professor of Pathology at Trinity and pathologist to Sir Patrick Dan's and Mercer's Hospitals. It was here that "the young Smith acquired his knowledge of dermatology, and he never lost his interest in this branch of medicine."

Jay's work on Hidradenitis Suppurativa will carry on this tradition as we seek to better understand this debilitating condition to improve it's treatment. HS Ireland
